This is an account of a day in the life a free and independent nomadic individual who answers to the name -
Bethany Michelle Harkins.

Join her as she travels on a journey towards deep discovery and awareness of the world outside her prim suburban abode. Colloquy of travel, discussion of dissertations, random written discourses, transcripts of inspiration, and many random whimsical ramblings are foreseen in the impending text.

Fancy that?

aCuriousDream

"I want to be somewhere where i can get lost in the woods." - came the words straight from my mouth.
"Oh, yes. That is every little girls dream."- My brother in-law (Shawn) teased.
"It certainly has never been my little girls, dream!" - Mama spoke out relating to the same unfamiliar infatuation.

And there it was. I hide nothing & typically speak my mind. This unnatural desire has consumed my mind and sparked a constant vagary of endless greenery and budding flowers ever since I uttered that blatant statement. I envision an existence enhanced by burgeoning life encompassing me through nature and beauty of the country.

And today we (My Mother, Father, Nana, & Dana) took a trip to "the country"...

and woah, today was powerful.

Endless skies & Endless Dreams walk side by side & hand in hand.

The older the (site, the) more history, the more history the more mystery, the more mystery the more my interest is peaked.

A 'set-in-stone' fact: boots belong on acreage.

The grass is greener,

the conversations deeper,

allure ever more authentic,

and walks a wee bit wilder,

"deep in the heart of Texas".

(on the road again...)

Today was a day of antique sightings, memories a million miles wide, and plenty of those classic faces of confusion from my Daddy. (here he is chuckling due to the delight, despite (the sky rocketing level of) simplicity (found at a gas station).

(that look...that's called contentment.)

some nonsense you may not care to see....

...one way to take my breath away.

our new friend, Timmy (and my, Daddy).

One mans junk is another mans treasure. Is that how 'they' say it?

*2nd honk (from a truck) of the day* Dana turns, "Do we know you?" she says.

Country life or City Life? What a dilemma...

My mind flashes to my favored "vhs" as a little-bitty-girl "Country Mouse & City Mouse" owned the rank of # 1 on my list...and what can I say? "God knows what He is doing." and He is such a creator of beauty...pure beauty. (speaking of pure- I wore NO MAKE-UP today and it was wonderful...being tan always boosts my confidence level)

Signing out with a question,

are you a "country mouse" or "city mouse"?
